เริ่มต้นในเมืองเชียงใหม่ ออกจากเมืองทางทิศตะวันตก พบกับเนินต้อนรับสู่ 'จุดชมวิวสะเมิง' แล้วลงสู่พื้นราบ มุ่งสู่ อ.พร้าว ข้ามเขาชุดที่สอง 'ขุนแจ๋' แล้วสิ้นสุดสเตจแรกที่ อ.วังเหนือ จ.ลำปาง

Starting in Chiang Mai city, head west straight into the first climb toward the Samoeng Viewpoint. Descend to the valley floor and push on toward Phrao District, before tackling the second major climb over Khun Jae, finishing the first stage in Wang Nuea District, Lampang.
